Le Cocu magnifique series was published in
1968, It is one of Picasso's best known series.
Conceived to illustrate the play by the same title, written by Crommelynck
it was first presented in Paris in 1920.
It contains scenes and characters from Picasso's own mythology and is charged
with
the almost obsessive sensuality and eroticism of his late period. |
